Hass Avocados

Avocados will be picked green and shipped rock hard the same day. It takes about 7 to 10 days for them to turn black and eventually soften. The best way to tell if an avocado is ripe is to gently squeeze the fruit in the palm of your hand. Ripe, ready-to-eat fruit will be firm but will yield to gentle pressure. Eat fresh or refrigerate for up to 10 days. Do not refrigerate green fruit.

Frederick Passion fruit

Passion fruit will be picked purple. Cut the fruit in half, scoop out the sweet/sour passion fruit pulp. If you prefer a sweeter fruit, wait 7 to 14 days until the fruit wrinkles.

Citrus

Our Meyer Lemons, Bearss Limes and Washington Navel Oranges are harvested fully mature on the tree. Store them on the counter or in the fridge for up to 14 days.

Vernon White Sapote

White sapotes will be shipped hard and then soften in 5 to 7 days. Like avocados, white sapotes will be soft to the touch when ripe. Cut the white sapote in half and scoop out the pulp. The seeds are not to be eaten. Be careful for the small undeveloped seeds as they can sometimes be hidden in the pulp.
